About GR For Animals
Grand Rapids For Animals encourages respect for all animals both human and non-human. The group began in 2004 when its founder learned about the abuse of animals used in the circus and felt compelled to do something to educate others. Today GR for Animals is an active group of concerned citizens who simply can't sit by as animals are abused and neglected.
Our Activism
GR For Animals lobbies on behalf of animals through educational outreach, letter writing campaigns and demonstrations. We work primarily to educate the public about animals used in entertainment and the neglect and abuse of companion animals. We also work with other organizations to bring awareness to these issues.
